A free seven-day experience
Unhurried a slower morning
Seven mornings. One small thing each — scripture, movement, nourishment, quiet — sized for a life that is already full.
Why this exists
3:00 a.m.
Awake, and still behind.
I was a newly single mom raising two teenagers and working two full-time jobs. School schedules, grocery runs, practices — and somewhere in there, trying to eat well, move my body, and navigate perimenopause. From the outside it probably looked like I was holding it all together.
Inside, I was running constantly and still falling behind. My relationship with my kids was suffering. Time with my mom was almost nonexistent. Even the things that used to ground me — quiet time, prayer — quietly disappeared.
One night around three, exhausted and unable to sleep, my mind crowded with everything I was carrying, the idea for an unhurried life arrived. It honestly felt like divine inspiration.
No one was teaching us how to slow down in a culture that glorifies busy.
What arrives, and when
Seven mornings, one small thing each
Nothing here takes long. That is the whole point.
i
Scripture & reflection
Mary and Martha — and an honest question about which one you are most days.
ii
A five-minute stretch
Short enough that there is no excuse, long enough that your body notices.
iii
A nourishing breakfast
One simple recipe — warm, quick, and full of what actually holds you together.
iv
Gratitude and intention
Name what you are thankful for, set one intention, and carry it on a notecard.
v
A verse to hold
Isaiah 26:3, written on the back of yesterday's card and repeated through the day.
vi
A devotion on rest
Jesus asleep in the storm — and what it means to rest before the wind dies down.
vii
A morning reset
A short checklist and a word of encouragement to carry past day seven.
Before you scroll on
Take one breath with me.
That took eleven seconds. Unhurried is seven days of things about that size.
A taste of it
The kind of thing I'll ask of you
Small, ordinary, slightly strange invitations — the ones that actually change a day.
One
Pray for a few minutes each morning before you scroll, check email, or answer a single message.
Two
Say no to one thing this week.
Three
Choose the longest line at the grocery store, and pray for each person ahead of you.
Four
Don't try to do everything — and don't try to be everything to all people.
Who is guiding you
Hi, I'm Lindsay
There are countless fitness programs. Endless guides on what to eat. Whole programs for mental health. But something was missing — nobody was teaching us how to slow down.
Unhurried is not another program; it is a way of living. Yes, we talk about movement and nourishment. But the heart of it is restoring the small, sacred moments in your day — the ones that help you breathe again. A pause. A deep breath. A prayer said with intention. When mind, body and spirit are cared for together, things start to change.
